Easy Blackstone Beef Fried Rice
I love camping dinners that are high in protein, filling, and easy. This Blackstone fried rice recipe checks all those boxes. It also creates very few dishes to clean up after! Let’s dive in.

When I bought my Blackstone Griddle, the first dinner I made was a Blackstone fried rice recipe.
I know smash burgers are popular with the Blackstone, but I was craving fried rice for dinner on my camping trip!
Even now, after using the Blackstone a lot more, fried rice is still one of my favorite Blackstone meals for camping.

Here’s what you’ll need for this Blackstone fried rice recipe:
Ground beef – I always use 80/20 ground beef for this recipe. It adds so much flavor! To make this a vegetarian fried rice, simply omit the beef.
Mixed Vegetables – For my recipe, I use chopped onion, snow peas, and half a bag of frozen carrots and peas. I have a tiny freezer in my camper fridge so I can store the frozen veggies. If you’re camping with only a cooler, you can use shredded carrots instead. Other veggie options to add in could be mushrooms or shredded cabbage!
Pre-cooked Rice Packets – These rice packets are what make this such an easy camping dinner! There’s no need to cook rice at camp.
Eggs – I scramble a couple of eggs in for extra flavor and a boost in protein.
Fried Rice Sauce – We cook everything in butter. For the sauce, we use soy sauce (or tamari), fresh minced garlic, and sesame oil. If you can find toasted sesame oil, try that for an extra boost in flavor.

How to Make Blackstone Fried Rice While Camping:
This hibachi style fried rice recipe starts by cooking the beef and the veggies. I like to keep them on separate sides of the griddle initially to ensure that everything cooks evenly.
Add a little butter to the Blackstone first, and then add the beef and veggies. Mix the beef often and break it apart as it cooks. Once you cook the beef and veggies, mix them together.
Before you open the rice packets, break them apart with your hands until no large clumps remain. It is a lot easier to break apart the rice in the bag than when it’s on the griddle.

Add the rice to the Blackstone along with 2 more tbsp of butter. Mix everything together well.
Then add in the minced garlic, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Mix well. At this point, it should smell amazing!!
Make a well in the center of the rice mix. Add the rest of the butter and then crack 2 eggs into the center. Let the eggs cook for a minute and then mix them into the fried rice.
Cook the fried rice for a few more minutes, mixing frequently.
Serve this Blackstone dinner hot, topped with more soy sauce if desired. Enjoy!

Blackstone Griddle for Camping:
I have a 22-inch Blackstone Griddle from the On the Go Series. It comes attached to a stand that breaks down so you can easily roll it to and from the campsite.
While the Blackstone is large and heavy to transport, we do enjoy cooking on it when we take longer camping trips in our vintage camper!

SO yummy, satisfying, and easy. The toasted sesame oil added a game-changing flavor to this recipe. This one is a new staple.
So glad you liked it! Thanks for the review!
Hi Amanda, first, congrats on the big news! You’ll love being a mom. Second, do you ever try different meat for the rice? Chicken? Pork? Shrimp? Thanks.
