Epic 3-day Backpacking Trip in Idaho's Sawtooth Wilderness

I'm currently in bed with sore muscles, sipping some coffee and reminiscing about this epic backpacking trip.

The Sawtooth Mountains are so incredible.

I first went to Idaho last Summer not thinking much of it, and ended up loving it so much that I went back for 2 more weeks. Now I have plans to actually live there one day.

Last Summer, I didn't get a chance to backpack a loop trail that connects Alice and Toxaway Lakes, so naturally, it was the first backpacking trip I tackled this Summer.

While the 18-ish miles can be done in 2 days, we decided to stretch it out into a 3-day backpacking trip and I'm so glad we did.

Seriously, I haven't felt so excited, curious and connected in months. It felt so good to be out in nature taking some deep breaths and not checking my Instagram every 5 minutes.

Sharing the experience with Nick (my boyfriend) made it even better.

Of course, I wanted to share the experience with YOU too. Making videos, both yoga videos and travel videos, is one of my favorite things to do.

I had to pack A LOT of extra filming gear into the backcountry (as you'll see), but I'd say it was completely worth it.

I hope you enjoy the classes! The first yoga class I filmed is yoga for hikers - appropriate since I was actually hiking!

In the video below, you'll get a glimpse into our trip and how I film all the videos.

You'll also see just how beautiful this place is and maybe even add it to your bucket list.

If you want spectacular mountains views and clear blue alpine lakes, backpack the Alice-Toxaway Lakes Loop in the Sawtooth Wilderness.

You wont regret it.
