Store-bought trail mix can get expensive, and it’s often loaded with far too many peanuts in my opinion. When you make your own trail mix, you can make it exactly how you like it.

Between all the trail mix ideas in this post, you’ll have a really good variety of flavors and combinations to choose from for your next adventure.

Where to buy trail mix ingredients?

I like to get my trail mix ingredients in the bulk section of my local grocery store. Shopping in the bulk section allows you to get the amount that you need and it’s often a lot cheaper.

If you live near a Sprouts grocery store, they have the best bulk section! You can also easily find these trail mix ingredients on Amazon.

How to store homemade trail mix?

I like to use these reusable Re-Zip bags for storing homemade trail mix! They’re lightweight and durable, and they seal really well.
